<dc:description><p>Randolph Carter dreams three times of a majestic sunset city, but each time he is abruptly snatched away before he can see it up close. When he prays to the gods of dream to reveal the whereabouts of the phantasmal city, they do not answer, and his dreams of the city stop altogether. Undaunted, Carter resolves to go to Kadath, where the gods live, to beseech them in person. However, no one has ever been to Kadath and none even knows how to get there. In dream, Randolph Carter descends "the seventy steps to the cavern of flame" and speaks of his plan to the priests Nasht and Kaman-Thah, whose temple borders the Dreamlands. The priests warn Carter of the great danger of his quest and suggest that the gods withdrew his vision of the city on purpose.</p></dc:description>

<dc:description>Everything is perfect is Rob Collins life. He’s got a beautiful wife, Sarah, who he met at university, he’s working on Special Projects, which is transforming the company he works for, and whilst Sarah’s away in New York, they’re getting the garden transformed, with, best of all, a freestanding gas barbecue. But a midlife crisis doesn’t let you know that’s it about to start, and with Sarah away, there’s nobody to hold Rob up when he starts to fall. Often funny, occasionally dark, “For the love of a gas barbecue: a novella in 3 acts” is a contemporary morality tale from the barbed pen of Adrian Slatcher. </dc:description>

<dc:description>Romantic poetry, while usually written to a specific individual, often outlives the relationship. When viewed over the course of a lifetime it seems that all these poems were written to a single idealized lover who peered briefly from real eyes. But those flesh and blood partners eventually, inevitably, succumbed when measured against the incomparable charms of the imaginary other. This is a collection of poems written to those imaginary others.</dc:description>

<dc:description>If Stephanie Fields was asked to describe herself, she’d say she was ordinary, calm and cautious. Her quiet life was exactly as she wanted it to be, or so she thought, until a mysterious stranger entered her shop. He had a knack for drawing her out of herself, for pushing her buttons, for making her feel... But now, just when life was getting interesting, someone was stalking her.

Excerpt:

She was in there, he knew it. He’d followed her that morning as she left her house, keeping a discreet distance, doing nothing that could alert her or anyone else of his intentions... Time was on his side. He could wait. Wait until his target appeared... “I’m waiting for you Stephanie,” he whispered as she exited the grocery store and put her purchases into her sensible grey car. “I’ve been waiting a very, very long time.”

To put it simply, Jerome was fat. His only erogenous zone was his mouth.

But putting it simply didn't do justice to the rolls of flesh he carted around daily, the sheen of sweat that trickled from his pits, his forehead, his belly.

Putting it simply didn't do justice to Jerome, for though he was simple of mind and large of body, _he was_, for better or worse, a human being. And despite appearances, an evolved human being.</dc:description>
